The Ohio Department of Taxation came to us with a problem, there were thousands of individuals and businesses across the state of Ohio that were either back on their taxes or hadn’t paid at all. This came to the tune of around $6,000,000 worth of back tax money. The problem was that people who are behind are too fearful to catch up once they fall behind for fear of legal prosecution.
To encourage these individuals/businesses to come forward and pay up on any back taxes they owed, the Ohio Department of Taxation started the “Ohio Tax Amnesty Program”, which opened a window to pay the state back without any legal penalties and only half of the interest due on what was owed.
We were tasked with creating an informative, educational and friendly website experience.
