6 ROLL CHAIN

I keep fumbling with my 35mm rolls in my bag and I never really seem to put them in the same spot. So I wanted a solution that could form fit to whatever bag I am using at the time, which could range from my camera bag to my backpacking pack or even a hip pack (the cool way of saying fanny pack).

With this form factor I can go on a trip with 6 rolls without losing them in my bag. Now you may be asking, “Why don’t you just throw them in a ziplock or something?” to which I will say… well… that doesn’t look as nice and isn’t necessarily organized. I don’t want any of them rolling around.

Each holder had 65 degrees of swivel allowing this to bend around a corner, form to your hip inside your hip pack or roll up into a circle. It can also be printed all at once. I designed it in a way that it will print without the need to assemble the chain afterward. Just print and use!

FUJI PA-45 POLAROID WET PLATE ADAPTER

When looking for wet plate holders I quickly found that they are all very expensive. The holders I found were anywhere from $95 - $160. To me, that’s a little excessive. So, I found a youtube link to a dude who modified an old Fuji pa-45 Polaroid back to accept wet plates. He ended up just cutting small pieces of wood and glued them together, but I wanted a wanted something a little more precise. Thus, I made his adapter in 3D.

The idea is that the large adapter with the window would sit inside the Fuji Polaroid back utilizing the same space where the Polaroid pack would normally live. That’s really it. There is no irreversible cutting of a normal 4x5 holder, just print the adapter and place it into the Polaroid back. The smaller flat piece with the hump in the center is what holds the wet plate in place.

The loading procedure is pretty simple:

  1. Open the Fuji Polaroid Back

  2. Place the wet plate holder into place, depressing the built in retention springs to hold it into place.

  3. Place two corners of your sensitized wet plate into the opening and gently drop the plate into the wet plate holder.

  4. Then place the wet plate “pressure plate” on top of the sensitized wet plate and close the Polaroid back.

  5. When you’re ready, remove the built in dark slide and shoot.
